ideas for George

The seed for A Journey, a Reckoning and a Miracle began with the acceptance that George W. Bush’s religious beliefs are in fact genuine and therefore, that he will eventually suffer because of his immoral actions, particularly to do with the Iraq War. Quoting Ecclesiastes, “Wisdom is found in the house of suffering.”

In the author's opinion the only way President Bush can redeem himself, in his lifetime and for history, is to honestly address the suffering he’s caused with his Iraq War. One idea is that George should donate his Crawford ranch to the Veterans Administration and devote the remainder of his life to reducing the suffering of the wounded veterans and the families of the dead. Here and in Iraq. He’ll have his work cut out for him.

George, please work hard for one or more of the world's biggest problems - achieving peace, averting global warming, eradicating poverty. Thereby you show that you are reformed and you would undoubtedly also inspire many other people to reform their ways too.

One thing is certainly true of George W. Bush even though he often appears to many people to be shallow and thoughtless. That is that he certainly has shown himself capable of a deep change of heart and a deep personal transformation. Well. America, if he can do it anyone can do it! So let George lead the way and go through the kind of soul searching that Dr. Fraser suggests and then it is incumbent on the rest of us individually and as a nation to follow suit and do the same.

Daily, Bush can think of the 23 million Iraqis that he liberated from the murderous thugs Saddam Hussein, who killed hundreds of thousands of his own people in his rein of terror, and from his sons, who tortured and raped many people, all keeping the Iraqi people disempowered and impoverished with TRUE atrocities. I'd also recommend he think daily of the 23 million Afghani people he liberated from the Taliban, and especially the women and children who can now go to school and walk taller in that country. After that, he can think of how his policies kept America safe since 9/12/2001. Finally, he can remember that in 100 years those who think the above achievements are of no significance and to be forgotten or deleted from a post like this will be seen through the clear vision of history.
